2 bunches dandelion
2 cloves crushed garlic
3 onions sliced thinly
½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. allspice
¼ tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Remove the flower head and discard. Cook dandelion in water until liquid boils. Remove from heat and drain.

Sauté crushed garlic in oil. Add salt and dandelion. Cook for a couple of minutes. Add all spices. Cook 2 additional minutes. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice.

Sauté sliced onion in olive oil until golden brown. Add onion to the greens. The onion should be placed on top of the greens, not mixed in.

Imme used to make this dish when she was preparing a mazza meal. It has a wonderful lemony flavor which blends so well with the garlic and olive oil.

When we lived in Lebanon, my sister and I used to go out into our garden and pick the dandelion. It was everywhere and we loved competing over who could pick the most flowers.
