1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 cup milk

Topping:

1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare muffin pans with Pam
Drain Oranges and pat dry. Set aside.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, allspice and sugar. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or fork until coarse crumbs appear.
Whisk together egg and milk. Pour into flour mixture and stir with a fork just until combined. Carefully fold in mandarin oranges. Fill muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until center tests done and muffins are lightly golden. Melt topping ingredients together. When muffins are done, dip each into the butter, sugar mixture.
