1-16 oz loaf of French bread
8 eggs
4 tsp sugar
3 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp salt
3 Tblsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 Tblsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
-Cut bread into 1" squares and place in a greased 9X13 pan.
-In a mixing bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla and salt- mix thoroughly using a mixer or a whisk. Pour this mixture over the bread crumbs.
-Cover with foil and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
-Remove the pan from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Mix together sugar and cinnamon for the topping and thinly slice butter and place on top of bread cubes, then sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mix on top.
-Cover with foil and bake 45-50 minutes or until knife comes out clean in the center of the dish.
-Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
-Serve with syrup or a fruit preserve.
