1 1/2 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Briar Rabbit Molasses
2 eggs
4 teaspoons baking soda
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt shortening in sauce pan over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool. Add sugar, molasses and eggs. Beat well. Sift together flour, soda and spices. Mix well. Chill. Form into 1" balls. Roll in sugar. Bake at 375º, 8 - 10 minutes.
