1 T. oil
1 medium onion chopped
1 c. uncooked rice
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. tumeric
1 bay leaf
1 pinch cinnamon
2 c. chicken stock
⅓ c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oil in medium size saucepan over medium high heat, add onion and cook until soft.
2. Stir in rice, salt, tumeric, bay leaf, cinnamon, and chicken stock. Bring to boil.
3. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in raisins. Simmer until done, up to 45 minutes, depending on type of rice used. Remove bay leaf.
