1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup lard
1 cup sour milk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tsp soda
Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift dry ingredients including sugar. Rub in the lard as for biscuit . Keep out 1/2 cup of this mixture. To the rest, add beaten egg mixed with the sour milk and soda. Pour into shallow cake pan and spread 1/2 cup mixture on ytop. Bake in moderate oven ( 350)
