1 lb rigatoni pasta
2 T olive oil , divided
1 lb ground beef (I used ground sirloin)
2 garlic cloves , crushed
¼ tsp fresh ground pepper
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
butter , for pan
salt
1 c grated parmesan cheese
8 oz coarsely grated mozzarella cheese

400º oven
slightly under cook pasta, drain, rinse with cold water, drain and toss with 1 T olive oil, set aside.
Using a large skillet heat 1 T oil add ground beef cook until brown add garlic 1 tsp salt and pepper, cook 2 minutes.
Add crushed tomatoes, simmer 20 minutes until thickened.
Toss pasta with parmesan.
Butter 9" springform pan, pack pasta into pan standing on end.
Pour meat sauce over pasta, filling holes, push mixture down inside pasta with the end of a wooden spoon.
Bake 15 minutes remove from oven and sprinkle with mozzarella bake additional 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let stand for 15 minutes.
Run knife around pan to loosen edges.
Unmold on large serving plate, pour any remaining meat sauce around exterior.
