1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 C. + 3T. butter or margarine
2 T. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
1/2 C. milk
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1/4 C. cooking sherry
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped
2 t. beef-flavored bouillon
1 C. sour cream
1 (12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, uncooked

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium skillet, combine ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat until beef is browned; drain.
Add 1/4 C. butter to meat; heat until it melts. Add flour, salt and pepper; stir until smooth.
Blend in soup and milk. Stir in mushrooms, sherry, parsley and bouillon. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in sour cream. Keep warm, but do not boil.

Prepare noodles according to package directions; drain. Add 3 T. of butter; toss to coat. Serve stroganoff over hot noodles.

This is one of our very favorite recipes. I prefer to use "Kluski" or old fashioned noodles, sometimes sold as "Spaetzle." These noodles are usually square or irregular in shape (instead of round like spaghetti)
