1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, separated
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cups FINELY chopped pecans
3 tbsp milk
1/2 cup butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
1. cream together butter and sugar, then add egg yolk, milk and vanilla
2. Combine flour, and salt and stir together
3. Blend well with fork or pastry cutter just until mixture adheres together.
4. form 3/4 inch balls on cookie sheet.
5. Press each cookie out til it is about 1/8 inch thick with a small glass dipped in granulated sugar.
6. beat egg white well and brush on each cookie
7. sprinkle each cookie with chopped pecans
8. Use glass again to lightly press pecans into cookies
9. Bake at 375 for about 8-10 minutes.
watch cookies carefully as they cook quickly.
