Ingredients:
2 cups cranberries
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 tsp gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1 1/4 cup sugar (save 2 T for egg whites)
juice of 1/2 lemon
grated rind of 1/2 orange
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Soak gelatin in cold water. Cook cranberries in boiling water until they have all popped. Puree.
Dissolve sugar and gelatin in hot cranberries- add lemon juice and orange rind.
Beat egg whites with 2 T sugar until stiff and fold into cranberry mixture. Freeze in large bowl. Stir again after edges are frozen. The cranberry mixture sinks to the bottom so its a good idea to beat mixture with electric mixer after 6-8 hours.

Personal Notes:
This is a family recipe from my neighbor, Judy's, Aunt Katherine. It is similar to a sherbet but you eat it with the meal. Very refreshing! It is a Thanksgiving MUST with their family!
