6 large eggs
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
¾ cup Crisco shortening, melted
4 cups sifted flour
6 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Directions:
In mixer, beat eggs and add sugar, vanilla, and melted shortening. Gradually add flour, salt, and baking powder until thoroughly mixed.
Note this is very soft cookie dough; therefore roll to form a long rope and cut into about 3 inch segments to shape a small circle. (hole in circle should be closed) Place cookies on a no greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a pre-heated 375º oven for 8-10 minutes.
When cookies are done place on a wire cooling rack.
Dip cookies in a glaze of confectionery sugar and water. Let dry on waxed paper. Yields about 8 dozen cookies depending on size.
