2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup coconut (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until boiling. Boil 1 minute, remove from heat, add vanilla and peanut butter and stir until peanut butter is melted. Add oatmeal and coconut, beat until well mixed. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Chill. If pressed for time I will sometimes pour into a 9x13 pan to make bars.

This is one of the kids' favorite recipes to both make and eat. I used to mail them down to Sara when she first moved to Florida. Her friends Marcus and Jason decided I needed to send them some during the holidays!
