5 pieces of bacon
1 lg white onion
1 lg bell pepper
1 lg can pork and beans
salt and pepper
light brown sugar
ketchup
yellow mustard
maple syrup
vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon in heavy lg skillet. Remove bacon, drain and set aside. Remove most of bacon drippings, and add 1/4 c vegetable oil. Chop onion and pepper and add to oil. Saute until tender. Add can of beans, juice and all. Stir and cook about 5 minutes until vegetables are well mixed. Begin adding the rest of the ingredients. Start small and adjust accordingly. When beans are seasoned to your liking, crumble bacon, stir and let simmer for about 5 more minutes.
