12 oz self rising flour.
4oz. margarine
1 egg
8oz. sugar
1 pkg. pitted dates (1lb)
1tsp. baking soda
4oz walnuts
4 oz boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 350º cut up dates till small. sprinkle with baking soda cover with boiling water. Chop nuts small..Rub margarine into flour and sugar,add egg,add date mixture(do not drain) Mix well,add nuts.Divide into two loaf pans. Bake 1 1/2 hours till done.
