1/3 C. butter
2 squares of Chocolate or 3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 C. water
1 egg
1/2 C. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 C. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Start in a cold oven at 350º
In a small sauce pan bring to a boil then remove from heat; the butter, sugar, cocoa or chocolate and water. Add the sugar and egg, and beat. Add the sour milk, baking soda and salt. Add the flour and vanilla, beat for one minute. Pour into a prepared cake pan and bake for 45 minutes to an hour.
* Start in a cold oven.

I know it sounds weird to start your cake in a cold oven, but I promise you will love this cake! It comes out so moist. I have only used cocoa powder to make this cake. Make sure you use a good cocoa powder. I double this recipe for my 9x13 inch cake pan.
