1 1/2 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Corn Starch
1/2 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
1 cup Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in corn starch, salt and pepper. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a boil while continuing to stir. Boil one minute, stirring to bottom of pan. Remove from heat immediately.

Makes about 1 Cup Sauce.

Variations:

Cheese Sauce:

Add 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss, Cheddar, etc) to prepared sauce and stir till melted and smooth, Serve over vegetables.

Herb Sauce:

Stir 1 tablespoon of basil, cilantro, dill, tarragon, etc along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into prepared sauce. Serve over fish, or other seafood. Great sauce for crab cakes.
