3 c sugar
¾ c white syrup
½ c water
2 egg whites
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place the sugar, syrup, and water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until dissolved then cover and cook slowly until the crystals are dissolved. Boil until a candy thermometer registers 248 degrees. Set off the stove while egg whites are beaten. Pour hot syrup slowly over beaten egg, beating constantly. Continue beating until mixture hold the shape, then add vanilla and coloring. Drop in a greased pan. Do not add nuts until you have finished beating and are ready to put in balls. Melt chocolate in double boiler 110-115 degrees.
