1 large turnip
2 tbsp. butter
1 -2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

For Topping:
Saltine crackers 1/2 sleeve - crumbled
2 tbsp. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut up turnip in pieces. Boil until tender than drain. Mash turnip. In a separate bowl beat egg and butter, maple syrup and add to turnip. Mix dry ingredients and add to turnip. Mix all together and place all in a 2 quart greased casserole dish. Melt second butter, stir in crumbled saltines and sprinkle on top. Cook uncovered at 350ºF for 35 minutes.
