2 sticks butter, softened
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 cups flour
2 cups oats
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda and add to sugar mixture. Fold in oats, chocolate chips and walnuts.

For Deer Valley-sized cookies, spoon out golfball-sized balls of dough. Flatten slightly. You will only get 6 or 8 to a cookie sheet. Otherwise, prepare as usual. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until edges are brown but centers are still soft at 350 degrees.
