2 1./2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 tsp garlic
6 tbs low sodium/low fat chicken broth
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup carrots cooked and smashed

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and garlic powder. Mix in chicken broth and carrots. Add enough cold water to form a ball. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch. Using a cookie cutter cut into shapes. (I have a bone and it makes dog biscuit size treats). Place on a non stick cookie sheet and bake at 350 º for 25 minutes. Let cool. Store in refrigerator

My Jonah had kidney failure and was on a special Low Protein diet and could not eat regular dog treats. My veterinarian was consulted on the ingredients and had verified that these are extremely low protein and suitable for a dog with kidney failure. Jonah absolutely loved these homemade treats!
