1 lb. ground pork
2 tsp. soy sauce
8 minced water chestnuts
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. corn starch
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
6 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. soy sauce
dash of ginger juice

Pork Balls:
Mix ground pork, 2 tsp. soy sauce, water chestnuts, egg, & salt. Form into balls.
Sweet & Sour Sauce:
Combine sugar, vinegar, water, oil, soy sauce, & ginger juice; bring to a boil. Add meatballs to this and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove balls from sauce and make a gravy paste of cornstarch and water. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over pork balls. Garnish with green pepper and shreded carrot for color. Insert toothpicks and serve warm. This can also be served over rice as a main dish.
