Sweet and Sour Sauce for Meat:
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. ketsup
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. crushed pineapple or tidbits & juice (optional)

Orange Honey Mustard Sauce for Ham:
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. honey mustard
1/8 c. marmalade (optional but makes it nicer - I actually use Smuckers© no sugar added orange)
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
sprinkle of cloves (optional)

Sauce for Christmas Pudding:
(also good served over pieces of plain white or yellow cake)
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 or 3 tbsp. flour
2 1/2 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. vinegar (to cut sweetness)
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. each vanilla & rum extract

Berry Sauce:
( for over ice cream, cake or other dessert)
2 c. berries (slightly mashed)
1/2 c. sugar (or Splenda©)
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water

Butterscotch Peanut Butter Sauce:
(for banana splits or just ice cream)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. honey (optional)
1 tbsp.margarine (or butter)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. butterscotch chips

Hot Fudge Sauce:
(for ice cream, sundaes, cake, meringues, puddings)
1 tbsp. margarine or butter (heaping)
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/3 c. boiling water
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
few grains salt (to cut sweetness)
1 tsp. vanilla
(little milk or cream can be added if desired)

Directions:

Mix all together in saucepan and heat thoroughly, stirring until thickened.
