2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1cup boiling water
1 recipe Praline Buttercream (Recipe follows.)
Garnish:caramel ice-cream topping

1.Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour 3(8-inch) round cake pans.

2.Ina large bowl, combine flour,sugar,cocoa,baking powder,baking soda,and salt. Add milk,oil,and eggs, beating at medium speed with an electric mixer until combined, Add boiling water, beating until smooth,Pour batter into prepared pans,dividing evenly among pans.

3.bake for 25 minutes,or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.Let cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove cake from pans and let cool completely on wire racks.

4.Spread Praline Buttercream between layers and on top and sides of cake.Drizzle with caramel topping,if desired.
