1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
4 t. chili powder
1 1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1 c. water
2 cups mild taco sauce
12 corn tortillas (can use wheat)
1 lb. monterey jack cheese, shredded
1 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger and onions til brown. Drain. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer 10 minutes uncovered until most liquid evaporates. Meanwhile, pour 1/2 c. taco sauce into 9x13 greased baking dish. Arrange 1/2 tortillas to cover bottom of dish. Pour 1/2 c. taco sauce over tortillas. Spoon on beef mixture. Top with sour cream and sprinkle on 1/2 cheese. Repeat ending up with taco sauce & cheese on top
Cover with foil and bake 40 minutes, remove foil and bake addition 5 minutes. You can make this up ahead and refrigerate 24 hrs and bake next day.
