2 c. cooked chickpeas or 1 can of chickpeas, 1 garlic clove pureed, 4 tbsp. sesame seed paste, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 3 tbsp. lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, cooking water from chickpeas if needed, chopped fresh parsley(optional).

Puree chickpeas in blender with garlic, sesame paste, olive oil, and lemon juice. Add chickpea cooking water if need a thinner consistency. Serve with toasted pita, crackers or toast.
