1 baked pie shell
2 1/2 c. milk
2 Tblsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 Tblsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk (heat slowly until a skin forms on top of the milk; do not boil). Add to dry ingredients and continue cooking. Beat egg yolks and add some of the custard mixture to them. Combine yolks with the custard. Cook one minute. Add butter and vanilla. Cool.
