1 large sweet onion, peeled and sliced (optional)

4 boneless, thick cut pork loin chops, rinsed and patted dry

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup pure Grade A (Emerson) maple syrup

1/4 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place onions in the bottom of a 4 or 5 quart slow cooker
2. Season pork chops with slat and pepper
3. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, whiskey, and Dijon mustard
4. Dip each pork chop into the syrup mixture and place in slow cooker
5. Pour remaining syrup mixture over pork chops
6. cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours
7. Serve with wild rice
