1 pound butter, 3 c. sugar, 8 eggs separated, 3 c. sifted flour, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 tsp. almond extract, 1/3 c. bourbon, 1/2 c. chopped pecans.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and 2 c. of sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add almond extract and vanilla to bourbon. Add flour alternately with blend of flavorings and bourbon, in thirds, beating smooth after each addition. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Beat remaining cup of sugar into the whites gradually. Fold egg yolk mixture into meringue gently. Sprinkle pecans in well buttered 10 in. tube pan, turn in the batter and bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours.
