12 oz. butter, 2 tbsp. plus 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 c. milk, 1 tsp. almond extract, 1 tsp. lemon extract, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 c. sugar, 6 eggs.

Heat oven to 325º. Flour and butter a tube pan. Cream butter with sugar. Sift flour with baking powder and salt three times. Add eggs 1 at a time to butter mixture and beat for 15 seconds before adding another egg. Add flavorings. Lower speed and add flour alternating with milk. Put batter in pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool on rack for 30 min., then invert cake onto rack to cool completely.

I used fresh lemon juice instead of the lemon extract. This cake is unbelievably good.
