3/4 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed ingredients. Roll into 2" thick logs, wrap in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator for one hour. Slice logs into 1/4" rounds and lay on ungreased cookie sheet with 2" space between. Finished cookies will be about 3". Bake at 400º for 6 - 8 minutes.
