1/2 lb. finely chopped almonds, 2 c. sifted flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 c. confectioners' sugar, 1 c. margarine, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla.

Directions:
Mix nuts, flour, baking powder and sugar. Cut in margarine. Make a well in center and beak eggs. Add vanilla. Knead until smooth dough. Divide dough into 2 parts and shape into 12 in. rolls about 3/4 In. thick. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight. Place rolls on ungreased cookie sheets 4 in. apart. Brush top with egg yolk. Bake at 350º for 15 to 20 min. Cut into diagonal slices 1 in. while still warm.
