1 T. olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, cored, seeded, and finely chopped
1 lb. ground beef (very lean)
1 T flour
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
1/2 T Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
sesame seed buns
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook about 5 minutes, until soft but not browned. Add the beef and cook, stirring to break up the meat until it is no longer pink.

Sprinkle in the flour and thyme, stir until fully blended in.

Stir in the soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.

Put a sesame seed bun on each plate, spoon the mixture on top. Can be served with a top bun, or open-faced.
