1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp cocoa
2 oz. red food coloring
2 1/3 cups cake flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar and eggs. Beat well. Sift flour 3 times. Add buttermilk alternately with flour. Add vanilla, cocoa, vinegar and soda. Mix well. Add food coloring last and mix well.

Bake 20-25 minutes for cupcakes or 25-30 for cake in 350º oven.

Let cool completely and then frost with cream cheese frosting.
