1 pack dry yeast ( 2 1/4 tsp)
1/2 cup warm water
5 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shportening
2 cups lowfat buttermilk
cooking spray
1 Tblsp butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water, let stand for 5 minutes. Add flour with next 4 ingredients, flour thru salt. Cut in shortening with pastry blender (course meal). Add yeast mix to buttermilk and stir until moist. Cover and chill one hour. Preheat oven to 450º. Turn dough to heavily floured surface and knead lightly 5 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch cut with 3 inch biscuit cutter. Coat sheet with spray. Brush melted butter on top. Bake at 450º for 13 minutes or until golden. Dough will keep for several weeks in fridge.
