1 1/2 c. Butter - Softened
2 c. White Sugar
4 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
5 c. All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
Frosting to Decorate - Optional

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one (1) hour - or overnight.

Preheat oven to 400º F. Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies one (1) inch apart on un-greased cookie sheets.

Bake six (6) to eight (8) minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.

Once cool, you can decorate with frosting or sprinkles.
