Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable shortening (Crisco)
1 pound of white mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon clear vanilla flavor
1 teaspoon butter flavor
2 tablespoons water
2 pounds powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Place marshmallows, flavorings, and 2 Tbsp. water in a microwave safe bowl and repeat this until it is melted and smooth. It should take about 2 ½ minutes. Place ¾ of the powdered sugar on top of the marshmallows.

Now generously grease your hands with Crisco. Also grease the counter where you will be kneading the fondant. Start kneading like you would knead bread.

Keep kneading trough the “sticky phase”. Add the rest of the powdered sugar and knead some more. Continue to re-grease your hands often and work the Crisco into the fondant. It takes about 8 minutes to get a firm and smooth elastic ball that will stretch across a cake without tearing.

When you’re ready to store it, coat it with a good layer of Crisco and place in a Ziplock bag. I generally add a second bag to make sure it’s very airtight.
