1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2½ cup flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1½ tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the butter,peanut butter, sugar and eggs. Beat until completely mixed. Add flour, salt, baking powder and soda and mix thoroughly. Cover and chill. Preheat oven to 350º. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Flatten cookies in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in flour until cookies are two inches in diameter. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set but not hard. Makes 6 dozen cookies.

Variation 1: Instead of flattening cookies with fork, press Hershey kiss into center of each cookie and bake as directed.

Variation 2: Add 1 cup salted peanuts to dough.
