2 cans water chestnuts
1 lb. bacon
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1/4 inch brown sugar in the bottom of a
9 X 13 baking dish. Cut the bacon into thirds. Wrap each water chestnut with a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Place on top of the brown sugar in the pan. In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, ketchup, vegetable oil, black pepper, and garlic powder. Pour over the wrapped water chestnuts. Bake for 30 minutes at 350º
