3 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
3 tbsp flour
2 tsp lemon zest
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup almonds
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and beat. Add flour, zest, and salt, and mix well. Stir in milk. Blend in almonds. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into mixture. Pour into 9x5 loaf pan. Set pan in pan of hot water and bake at 325º for 40 minutes. Turn to 350º and bake until brown (about 10 minutes). Sprinkle with almonds and serve warm or cold.
