Directions:
Cream together 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp shortening and 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 egg and beat well.

In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 2 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt. Add this mixture to the shortening mixture, alternating with 1/2 cup milk, beating well after each addition. This make a very stiff batter. Spread batter in greased 11x7 pan. Sprinkle blueberries over the batter.

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Cut in 1/4 cup butter. Crumble this over the blueberries. Bake at 350º (325º for glass pan) for 45-50 minutes. Frost with a thin icing made with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and enough milk to make a thin consistency.
