Beer Bread Recipe

3 c. self rising flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 (12 oz.) can of beer
4 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour and sugar, make well in center and pour in the beer. Mix until all is moistened and place in a greased bread pan. Melt the butter and brush half of the butter on the unbaked dough. Let sit 5-10 minutes before baking.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350º. Check for doneness (if toothpick is dry it is done) if not bake 10-15 minutes longer. Remove from oven and brush with remaining butter. Remove from pan and cool.

This recipe has to have self rising flour and do not be tempted to drink any of the beer. This bread is great toasted or served as an open faced grilled sandwich.
