Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 eggs
⅔ cup orange juice
⅓ cup Grand Marnier
⅓ cup milk
3 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
Finely grated peel of an orange
~~
8 (¾-inch) slices of French bread
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp 10X powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
The night before, mix all ingredients except bread, butter and powdered sugar. If not using Grand Marnier, increase orange juice to 1 cup. Spray a long baking dish with a butter spray.

Dip bread in the egg mixture and place in a single layer in the buttered baking dish. Pour remaining mixture over the bread and cover. Refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally so bread absorbs the egg mixture.

In the morning, melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add bread in batches and cook until browned, about 8 minutes. Cut bread diagonally and arrange on plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with maple syrup.

Alternate method: Bake French toast by placing on a buttered baking sheet. Brush toast with melted butter and bake in 375° oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn, brush with butter and bake second side to 10 to 15 minutes. Remove and serve, same as above.
