1 bottle Claret
1 bottle port
2 tablespoons diced candied orange peel
10 cardamon seeds
3 small pieces stick cinnamon
2 tablespoons whole cloves
½ pound blanched almonds
½ pound seedless raisins
½ pound sugar cubes
1 pint cognac

Directions:
Directions:
In large kettle, combine and heat the wines. Tie the peel and whole spices in a square of cheesecloth. Add to hot wine and simmer 15 minutes. Add almonds and raisins, simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat and discard spice bag. Pile sugar cubes into sieve and hold over kettle. Gradually pour cognac over the sugar and then flame contents of kettle with a match. Ladle hot burning liquid over the sugar while it melts and drips down to sweeten the glogg. Cover kettle to put out the flame. Serve hot with a few raisins and almonds in each cup. Makes 2 quarts.
