⅞ lb butter or margarine
2 C sugar
½ tsp lecithin
1 T light corn syrup
¼ tsp salt
1 C toasted almonds (chopped)

Directions:
In a saucepan, melt butter of low heat. Add sugar and lecithin, stirring constantly with wooden spoon over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Add corn syrup and continue continue cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning, until reaches 295º. Remove from heat. Gently stir in salt and nuts. Pour into a well-buttered shallow pan. Smooth to thickness of about ¼ inch with spatula or knife. Score into uniform rectangular pieces before the toffee becomes firm, or leave unscored and later break into irregular pieces. May be covered with melted chocolate. Store in airtight container or plastic bag to prevent softening.
