10 eggs (separated)
3 1/2 cups of sugar ( reserve 1/2 cup for meringue)
10 cups milk
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla flavoring
3 bags vanilla wafers
10 large bananas

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium size bowl. mix 3 cups sugar, flour, and salt. In a 6 quart pot, whisk egg yolks and milk together thoroughly. Place milk mixture over a medium-high heat and gradually add the sugar-flour mixture stirring continually. Stir constantly for 20-25 minutes, make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom. When the pudding is thickened, remove from heat and add vanilla flavoring. In a large aluminum pan, layer pudding, bananas, and cookies, ending up with the pudding on top. Beat egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar until meringue makes stiff peaks and is glossy. Spread over pudding and brown in oven.
Remove a small bowl from the cabinet, look at it, and put it back, then remove a larger bowl and spoon yourself up some of Mama's DEEEElicious banana pudding!

I suppose you could half this recipe, if you don't need this much pudding, but why in the world would you want to !!??
