1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tspn baking soda
1/4 tspn ground cloves
1/2 tspn cinnamon
1 tspn ginger
1/2 tspn salt
1/3 cup water

350º
Beat butter and brown sugar till fluffy . add molasses and mix well , set aside . Combine flour , baking soda, cloves cinnamon, ginger and salt. add dry ingredients to butter mixture . Add water and mix well . Roll dough to 1/4" thick and cut out ginger bread men. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 minutes . Cool amd decorate with Royal Icing and assorted candies .
