2 lbs. meat (venison is best) boiled & ground
4 lbs. apples, peeled, cored & ground
1 1/2 lbs. suet
1 tbsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
2 cups brown sugar
1 whole orange & 1 lemon ground
1 pkg. dates, cut up
1 pkg. golden raisins
1 pkg. currants
1 qt. sweet cider

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in canner. Mix well. Put on stove on low heat; stir often (will stick). Cook until suet is melted. Taste. Adjust to liking with spices. Cook until thickened.
