Personal Notes:
This recipe was given to me when I worked for Dr. Kirby when Al and I were first married - way back in the early 1980's. A wealthy patient was eating at Neiman Marcus and had one of these cookies for dessert. She asked for the recipe and was told it cost $2. She bought the recipe, but when she received her credit card statement, she had been charged $2000.00! She was so upset she vowed to share the recipe with everyone she knew - including those of us working at her doctor's office!
**Oatmeal flour is simply oatmeal that has been put into a blender and blended to a powder.
**It helps to put the chocolate bar into the freezer before grating it.
These cookies freeze well. These are well worth the trouble and money it cost to buy the recipe!
