4 Pounds Zucchini
1 Pound small onions
water
1/2 Cup salt
1 Quart Vinegar
2 Cups sugar
2 teaspoons celery seed
2 teaspoons turmeric
2 teaspoons mustard seed
1 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Cut unpeeled Zucchini into very thin slices. Peel onions and slice thinly. Cover vegetables with water and salt. Let stand for 1 hour. Drain. Combine vinegar, sugar, celery seed, turmeric, mustard seed and dry mustard. Bring to a boil and pour over vegetables and let stand for 1 hour. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Place in sterilized jars and seal at once.

Grama always made these pickles with the abundant zucchini in her huge garden. She served them in a pretty crystal bowl with a tiny fork with her fabulous dinners when we came to visit. I never eat a bread and butter pickle without thinking of Grama.
