3 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cloves,
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups molasses
2 eggs
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup finely chopped candied ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F. Lightly grease a 9”x13” pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, baking soda, cloves and salt.

In a large bowl, beat butter until creamy. Add sugar, molasses and eggs. Beat well. Slowly stir in flour until mixed. Slowly stir in boiling water and candied ginger. Spoon into baking dish.

Bake 1 hour or until center is set. Remove from oven. Let cool 5 minutes in pan. Carefully turn onto wire rack. Cool completely
